Capture & Design was created from a passion for preserving real, raw emotion. My approach is different, intentionally so. I focus on capturing you; your personality, your connection, your story. That’s what makes my style uniquely mine. I don’t follow trends—I follow connection. My work is about capturing you as you are: the emotion, the energy, the in-between moments that matter. My style is intentional, bold, and real.
I specialize in family portraits, headshots, intimate, couples, and just about everything in between… well, everything except weddings.
What You Get
Initial Consultation
This is just a chance for you to see how things work, and more importantly, for me to get to know you and hear what you’re envisioning for your session.
What To Wear
I won’t leave you stranded. No awkward 80’s department store looking images. Depending on location & theme . We will talk clothes, make up & accessories. And depending on your theme, that could include multiple wardrobe changes.
Experience
My job is to help you feel comfortable, find your best angles, and guide you through natural expressions until we capture the real you. I want to tell your story through beautiful, honest images you’ll be proud to share.
Enhanced With Care
Yes, I do retouch images in post processing. Every image gets my full attention. White balance, color saturation, that fly away hair that wouldn’t move, to broccoli in your teeth. You will like what you see.
Digital Files
I only deliver digital files in jpeg form. Both high resolution so you can print, and low resolution so you can share online. For prints, I can recommend some great labs.
Turn Around Time
With each session being unique the turn around time from session to you receiving your files can very. We will go over this in our initial consultation. On average 7-14 business days for file delivery.
Meet Your Photographer
I’m Heather Palmer. The lady behind the camera & owner of Capture & Design. My first camera was a film point & shoot, needless to say all my money went into developing film and not the usual teenage girl things. In 2007 I decided to make my passion a business and here we are today.
My niche is lifestyle, I want your images to look like real life without the clutter. The best lighting is always natural which means my studio is mother earth.
