If you wanted a photo with Santa that looked like everyone else’s then you would not be here. This is an experience like none other. We started this unique experience in 2014 in our living room, we have done indoor studio, markets & outside. Stay tuned for 2025 details!
Why you Want THESE Photo's Over Going to the Mall
We at Capture & Design get it. Santa can be scary to a young tiny human. So we take our cues from them. Whether they are crying, or just want to stare or actually play with Santa. We capture the experience, the moment and you get the most unique photos in town! Santa interacts with you or your child. No chair, no stranger to sit on, just pure fun.
This type of session is great for any child of any age, adults too! Special needs children we got you covered! No waiting in lines, no cranky children being over whelmed & an experience with Santa who will actually bring joy. And with being outside this year, there is no studio lights to bother sensitive eyes.
A Visit with Santa you Won't Forget
BUT, please note as you can tell by the examples – you may only see pieces of Santa, his legs, arm or body. This session is about you or your child interacting with the man in red. Not actually sitting on his lap like you would at the mall. Shy kids – we got you, adult kids – heck yeah we got you covered!
This is not your Mall Santa Experience.
And this year, we are adding in a fun element into your session.
Nitty Gritty Details:
All sessions must be booked in advance, no drop in’s allowed.
3-10 Digital files provided & they are emailed within 7 business days- 2024 We are outside – so please dress responsibly, our studio is not liable for any harm due to temperatures OR not being dressed accordingly
- Printing release is included
- Sessions must be booked and non refundable/ non transferable retainer must be paid in advance to reserve your space.
- We can not guarantee smiles, we capture what transpires between child, adult & Santa
- Please don’t bring hoards of people to watch. That just makes the experience very stressful. Keep it to you; mom & dad.
- Yes you can bring your pet. We are outside! Just make sure they are on a leash, friendly & you clean up any 💩. Be aware of the potential for wildlife. Moose and deer are present on the lands, and bear and cougar have been spotted from time to time.
- There will not be bathrooms, so use the facilities before you leave home. If nature calls, find a sheltered spot away from the trail, bag and pack your toilet paper out, and bury any remains
- If you arrive early, please wait in your warm car till I arrive. I am out on the trail with another family.
- Sessions are 10-12 minutes max!
- If your child becomes sick – you will need to cancel
- 50% of session fee must be paid at time of booking & is non refundable, non transferable. The remainder of your session must be paid in full in order to receive your digital files
- The session may be cancelled by the studio for 1 of 2 reasons: 1. Santa or the photographer wake up sick, or 2. The temperatures hit below -20. Our equipment does not perform in extreme cold temps. If the studio cancels your session then 100% of the fee is reimbursed.
If booking more then one session please include this in your registration, if you have lots of kids/family and want individuals with Santa this is where 2 sessions come in handy. But you are paying for 2 sessions. #justsaying
Reservations are booked in chronological order of receiving your form & retainer.

** Please watch our Facebook page for updates in regards to: cancellations, emergencies or other. If Santa or our photography team become ill then we would need to cancel & your retainer would be reimbursed 100%. We still live in crazy times so we need to be prepared.

- 🎅Sports fan – jersey, equipment
- 🎅Stuffy party
- 🎅Outdoor Christmas decor
- 🎅Many families like a family portrait without Santa,
- 🎅You can bring your pet too in matching hats!
- 🎅Wear matching plaid,
- 🎅Dress up for hockey, or any outdoor sport, if you are brave – pretend it’s summer.
- 🎅A new theme is that awkward family photo session that reminds us of the old Sears Portraits of the 80’s.
- 🎅And if you are more of the spooky nature we can add a bit of halloween twist to your Santa Portraits.
- 🎅Because of the dirt roads around us, if you have a vintage car you would like to be included as a prop for your photos you can drive it up at your expense & we are not held liable for any damage that could occur.
