Been in business since 2007. I have used both studio set ups and natural outdoors. I prefer outdoors as that is where you look your best.
Unwatermarked, digital files. Photographer chooses which image(s) are included in the package. Commercial & Product packages are different. Mini or Themed sessions will always outline what you get in that package. How many digital files depends on your chosen package.
This really depends on the type of session we are capturing. Boudoir is usually a few hours, family portraits can be upwards of an hour especially if young children are present. Head shots are maybe 15 minutes. check our the pricing page for those details
The parties agree to cheerful cooperation & communication for the best possible result within the definition of this assignment, the photographer is not responsible if key individuals fail to appear or cooperate during photography sessions or for missed images due to details not revealed to photographer. The photographer cannot be responsible for unusable images due to distractions from other parties, eyes being closed and other circumstances beyond the photographers control.
I will not show, distribute or sell any unedited, raw images that do not make the cut for your package. I, the photographer, decide which images taken will be printed or delivered to you. All images, electronic or prints are owned by Capture & Design, Photography by Heather Palmer and may not be edited or altered in any way by anyone else other than Capture & Design Photography by Heather Palmer. In regard to any digital images that you may receive or purchase: Client is licensed to print copies up to the allotted size for personal use only, that includes sharing a printed image to family and/or friends. You may share the digital file on social media sites as well. Business or commercial use prohibited. Any unauthorized display, reproduction, sale, entrance in competitions, distribution, alteration ( includes no cropping, color adjustment, text overlays etc), or defamatory, malicious other misuse in digital or print format is strictly prohibited and can be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. For permission to use these images in digital or print format for other than personal use, please contact Capture & Design, Photography by Heather Palmer
You hereby consent to and authorize the use and reproduction in print and electronic format by Capture & Design, Photography by Heather Palmer of any and all photographs taken on this day for any purpose without any monetary compensation. You may be provided an electronic copy of any photograph in which your image appears upon request at the discretion of the owner. You also acknowledge that you may not submit a photo taken by Capture & Design, Photography by Heather Palmer to be published in any format without written consent from Capture & Design, Photography by Heather Palmer.
You also agree that Capture & Design, Photography by Heather Palmer may use the photographs taken today with or without your name and for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to such purposes as publicity, illustration, blog posts, social media sites, personal portfolio, exhibition and for internet, editorial or advertising use, and web content in either digital or printed formats.
Please note I do respect people’s privacy and I have a lot of work that I don’t share as per clients requests.
I do not want to pressure a child into cooperation or smiles, I take my cues from them. A child’s innocence of smiles & the odd frown are what make lifestyle photography so unique that I cannot guarantee smiles or cooperation on the child’s part. What we capture will be your photos. Please ensure that you the parent are present during the entire shoot and to encourage & discipline your child if need be.
Any damage of equipment belonging to Capture & Design Photography by Heather Palmer or belonging to the location vendor caused by you or a member of your family will be an expense you the client will cover.
If Capture & Design, Photography by Heather Palmer cannot perform due to fire, casualty, violent weather, Illness or other obstacles beyond the control of the photographer all monies will be returned at 100% of what has already been paid by the client and no more and that this contract will become null and void. This also applies to the malfunction of any equipment used by Capture & Design, Photography by Heather Palmer. Equipment is not limited to camera body and lenses, memory cards, lost or stolen images, crashed computers, prints or memory cards and also any damage not at the fault of the photographer. If in the event that Capture & Design, Photography by Heather Palmer fails to perform for any other reason Capture & Design, Photography by Heather Palmer shall not be liable for any amount in excess of the value of the client’s package. If partial images are lost a prorated amount of the exposures lost will be based on the estimated percentage of the total number of original images taken. Please also take into consideration that Capture & Design Photography by Heather Palmer will not break or bend laws, rules or bylaws to accommodate a specific photo for the client.
Mini Sessions or themed sessions do happen throughout the year. If the studio is running a themed session, example is Santa Photos, pricing & expectations will be outlined in that specific bulletin.
Commercial, product &/or Branding sessions will be priced differently and we will talk about that in our initial consult. Contact the studio directly to get this conversation started.
Don’t worry. I got you covered. Depending on the overall theme of your session will dictate outfit & color choices. We will go over all this before we get together.
The where is always a concern. I have many secret gem locations. Mostly outdoors as you look your best in natural light. But I am no stranger to your living room or a make shift studio. Some spaces, both indoors & out may require a permit &/or licensing fees. Those will be discussed before we commit.
I have shot it all. Rain, snow, freezing temps & sunny skies. I have done boudoir in both summer & winter outdoors. Family photos are great in the winter too. Hello Fairy Tale Vibes. And don’t worry about that “golden hour” that photographers seem to love. We will make any time of day in any weather work for you. #trusttheprocess
