I think I was born with a camera in hand, but I officially went into business in 2007.  I was always the girl who would get “the shot” and people always wondered why they looked so good in photos. This is where I discovered my love of lifestyle photography. It is my favorite style to shoot. It’s more natural & you look more like you.  And it doesn’t get any better than that!

And if you have your own SLR and need to know how to use it, I do have a workshop for that.

Choose your session type from the options below OR just shoot me an email at madebyheather@shaw.ca & let’s capture your dream today.

Lifestyle

You want a photo that looks like you. We all know the “Sears” portrait type photos or the cheesy grad photos where that image looks nothing like you. So…. lifestyle is where that is at.

We head outdoors in the natural light no matter the weather & we spend as much time as needed together till we capture YOU looking natural.

This session can be used for families, professional head shots, selfies for your social media, better school/grade photos & more.

Brand Photography

Back in 2014 I was asked by a local florist designer to take photos for her as they were being displayed on HGTV!!!  And this started a passion for Business photos. I have worked with numerous businesses & brands for stock photos for brochures, websites, campaigns & national store displays.

THEME SESSIONS

Themed sessions are so much fun to plan & execute. Whether you are a local designer with an idea or a family who wants to have fun. I am game for planning & seeing what we can create with an idea.  Some themes I have participated in are Mad Hatter, Super Heros, adult cake smash, Valentines Day, Get Boxed,  Christmas, Beth Dutton & more.

Santa Photos Morinville

Non Traditional Santa Photos

2014 I started something new in our town, NON TRADITIONAL SANTA PHOTOS. This has become an annual event and grows each year. We start booking sessions in September & the day usually sells out in hours.

2023 marks 10 years & something BIG is in the planning room right now

Quick details till the above buttons work:

I shoot 2 kinds of sessions. Humans in a lifestyle setting or products in studio. For people sessions you must be willing to get to where I am, but for business photos – distance means nothing.

The Short answer to what I will shoot is anything but a wedding.

I do very limited indoor studio work, so you must be willing to head outdoors, in any weather, and we will capture your moment.  Boudoir, engagement, family, newborn, themed sessions & more. Because we head outdoors, you must be able to get to the Morinville, Alberta area for your session.  You won’t find much of my portfolio online for viewing, I respect my client’s privacy & try to keep my costs down by not having my images stolen online either.

Price?

This is a loaded question. I like to talk with the client first. Find out what you envision. What you want as the final product. We then build your package from that point. If you aren’t sure, then that is proof we need to talk!

Most packages are the session with digital files in high resolution with print release. I only charge one fee and there are no additional hidden costs that surface. I promise you that!

How long is our session? Most sessions are 2-3 hours, I don’t want you to feel rushed & I want to ensure we have captured what you had envisioned.

The starting price for basic packages is $250.  But talk to me first!
