Karate Canada National Championship Tournament 2024
July 4-7, 2024 in Laval Quebec
The National Championship Tournament remains the entryway to the Karate Canada National Team for karate-ka hoping to represent Canada at the Pan American Junior Championships. This is the elite event from each Province to showcase their best athletes.

Veronica will be competing in Cadet Kata Female and Cadet Kumite Female +61KG,
Kata Individual Female – Cadet Thursday July 4 in Tatami 4 at 930 am EST
Kumite Individual Female – Cadet +61 kg Saturday July 6, 2024 in Tatami 2 at 800 am EST

Financial Commitment
This is a huge financial investment. This is a breakdown of the costs involved for 2024’s trip to Nationals.
This is a comprehensive list of what will be required for her to compete:
Training at clinics & Tournament fees (each session starts at $100+)- Transportation: fuel, airfare, shuttle service,
- Accommodations including hotels & billeting
- Meals, a girl has gotta eat & we do our best to meal plan to ensure our intake of restaurant & fast food is very minimal
- Equipment, 4 Gis ($215 each), 2 sets of gloves ($39 each), 2 sets of shin pads ($61.90 each), body vest($66.67), breast protector, mouth guard, 4 belts, white Bra, white shirt – We purchased in March for $586.00 CAD
- Celebration banquet at the National Tournament
- Formal wear for banquet & proper attire for podium presentations
- Team Uniform
- The cost of a legal guardian to travel with her as she is a minor
- Comp Crew $470 for the year
- $15/Kumite class and she must attend 2 a month for local Kumite training
