More than 600 of the top karatekas from across Canada descended on Place Bell in Laval, Que., July 7-9, 2023, for the largest National Championships ever. And Veronica was one of those athletes
🥋January 2023 became a Karate Alberta Team Prospect at the direction of her Sensei
🥋Attended 5 training seminars between January & June
🥋Competed in the Provincial Selection Tournament as an Advance Athlete
🥋May was confirmed a member of the Provincial Team
Veronica’s Training Schedule:
Monday is traditional Kata Class
Tuesday is Sparring focused
Wednesday is Competition Crew Training
Thursday is traditional Kata Class
Friday is specialized sparring class
Saturday specialized Kumite class
As a Team Prospect she has been a part of 5 one day trainings in February, March, April & 2 in June
Team training will also happen on July 4, 5 & 6 in Quebec.

Celebration banquet on the last day ($89 each)
Formal wear for banquet & proper attire for podium presentations

Through donations, bottle drives, sponsorships & gifts $1416.00 was raised to use towards the costs to send Veronica to nationals.
